Rian Branning is a Partner with Novo Advisors and is based in Chicago. He has more than 14 years of experience in restructuring, strategic and financial planning, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, and performing audit-related tasks. Mr. Branning’s industry experience includes consumer goods, manufacturing, hospitality, horticulture, automotive, construction, retail, and aerospace. Mr. Branning’s advisory efforts have been focused on developing cost reduction strategies, business plan assessments, liquidity management initiatives, improving and streamlining the month-end closing process, developing and implementing KPI reporting, assisting clients in M&A activities, improving cost accounting processes, and customer and product-line profitability assessments.
Prior to joining Novo Advisors, Mr. Branning was a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance Restructuring practice and spent nine years assisting clients in restructuring, turnaround, and performance improvement strategies.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Branning worked at PepsiCo, where his responsibilities included financial planning and analysis for the Gatorade and Snacks business units. Mr. Branning also worked in the Business Risk Services practice of Ernst & Young. The majority of his tenure at Ernst & Young was spent assisting companies with Sarbanes-Oxley implementations, process improvement initiatives related to enhancing the month-end closing process, and compliance audits in the consumer products, manufacturing, and aerospace industries. Mr. Branning started his career at Dana Corporation, where he held various finance and accounting positions.
Mr. Branning holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University.
